Certification for Motor-Compressors

UL helps manufacturers introduce safe designs to the US and Canadian markets through certification to UL 60335-2-34, the Standard for Household and Similar Electrical Appliances, Part 2: Particular Requirements for Motor-Compressors and CSA C22.2 No. 140.3, the Standard for Hermetic Refrigerant Motor-Compressors.

Since UL 60335-2-34 is an IEC based standard, UL can easily provide compressor manufacturers with a CB Report through a single, integrated test program in conjunction with the UL and cUL certification project.

UL is an accredited National Certification Body (NCB) in IEC 60335-2-34 and UL professionals are experts in project management of CB Scheme evaluations. Since regulations and certification requirements are ever-changing, UL can help you to obtain the necessary country certifications by:

• Identifying the critical standards and requirements needed to enter your target markets
• Completing all necessary forms and applications in the appropriate languages
• Coordinating management of sample submittals
• Paying submittal fees in appropriate currencies
• Obtaining authorization for product certification marks or certificates
